Photographs by Cali Alpert. For as long as she can remember, Alpert Alpert has been intrigued with capturing the soul. Her 30-year TV career, photography hobby and decades of solo travel have enabled her to put that intrigue to use professionally and spiritually. Through a subtle gesture, a fleeting exchange, or the windows of one’s eyes, the soul speaks. Alpert’s early travel photos remind us of the global tapestry we inhabit, and the spiritual threads that bind us. Her more recent work builds on those threads with a different genre, combining a love of nature and penchant for asking deep questions. This is the most current reflection of her spiritual journey—having learned that the "big" answers we often seek through travel and external experiences, actually dwell inside us.
