The Cyanotype is an analogue photographic printing process dating back to 1842, creating an archival cyan-blue print using natural solar light. In this in person workshop teaching artist Farah Marie Velten will share historical details of the method and guide students in a step by step hands on practice where they will make one of a kind artworks to take home.
The class will include a nature walk where students will be invited to collect wild botanicals for their printed pieces. All materials and supplies will be provided. Students are welcome to bring flat and transparent items to print.
