Ideal for artists, designers, and creatives seeking an immersive ceramic experience: participants will learn how to handbuild both opened and closed ceramic forms on a large scale. We will go over various coiling and slab techniques, surface texture, and what to be aware of when building larger works with clay. Each participant will sculpt one creation and will receive group and individual instruction.
An Asian street food-inspired picnic lunch from Hudson Valley favorite, Haema Hospitality, will be provided midday.
All works will be ready for pickup or shipping 4-6 weeks after the workshop.
