RUN of the MILL

RUN of the MILL celebrates the Lace Mill from its promising beginning as the US Lace Curtain Mill in 1903, through its acquisition by the ill-fated Scranton, its IBM years, to its decades of derelict abandonment, up to its renaissance as RUPCO's award winning place-making design of 2015. We will explore the dedicated and ingenious technology of the Nottingham looms, the machines imported along with their skilled operators from England. The exhibit will run from May 2nd through May 30th with a presentation and talk by Alisza Phillips on May 28th at 7pm.
