Rózsa, which means "rose" in Hungarian, celebrates and reinterprets age-old musical traditions from Eastern Europe. The Hungarian and Romani music in their ever-expanding repertoire includes tranquil love songs, bittersweet stories of loss, ecstatic dance tunes, dark ballads of revenge, and transcendent celebrations of life's blessings.
Band leader Katalin Pazmandi (vocals/guitar) is joined by Meghan Quinn (accordion), Lana Auerbach (violin), Carmen Borgia (ukelele), and Brian Crouse (bass).
