Roy Boutard Day - Garden Opening

In the Center House and outdoors in the Gardens Roy Boutard Day is a free event celebrating the opening of the Garden’s season. Held the first Sunday of May and honoring the Garden’s past director who served the horticultural community from 1954–1984. Activities include a Garden tour at 10 a.m. and the Horticulture Certificate Program graduation at 11:00, followed by a traditional Mai Bowle reception hosted by BBG’s Herb Associates. Additional activities include a children’s workshop from noon - 1 p.m.; a direct sowing workshop for vegetable gardeners at 11:30; and a dahlia propagation workshop at 1:30 Registration required.
