The first-ever Revolutionary New Paltz, a two-month, family-friendly festival, runs May 4 through July 4 in New Paltz. Featuring tours, talks, performances, classes, and exhibits, the series explores the town’s history, architecture, culture, and people in honor of America’s 250th. Events include walking tours, a cemetery evening tour, a juried art show, music and dance performances, and hands-on cultural experiences like salsa, line dancing, and West African drumming. Organized by the Town and Village Historic Preservation Commissions with over 20 partners, the festival celebrates New Paltz’s diverse heritage and evolving community through engaging, educational, and creative programs for all ages.
