"Perplexing Portrait of a Puzzled Painter"
Join us at the reception for The Creative Legacy of Joseph M. Jagelka, followed by an arts workshop based on his work. Joseph M. Jagelka was a self-taught, life-long artist and musician raised in the Lower East Side of New York City, later becoming a resident of Haverstraw, NY for over 60 years. This “sketchbook style” exhibit was curated by his daughter, Nancy N. Jagelka, who he taught photography and art. This exhibit gives viewers a peek inside the variety and expansiveness of Joseph Jagelka’s lifetime of work.
