To celebrate their fourth year as a Hudson Valley-based, independent vinyl-focused record label, DCxPC is hosting a two-day punk/ska takeover at Snapper Magee's in Kingston. All 15 billed bands have had a live vinyl made and a digital record produced with the help of DCxPC. Since April of 2021, they have single-handedly dropped 37 releases, with 17 of them made in 2024 alone. The bill includes Hudson Valley local bands, such as Shark Noises and RBNX, as well as some out-of-town cameos from Baltimore's Sick Move and Luxury Teeth. Though the music is loud and aggressive, the community surrounding DCxPC, the shows they host, and the bands they represent are dedicated, supportive and committed to creating safe spaces for folks to enjoy the traditions of punk and ska music. Remember—punk's not dead, it's live on vinyl.
