Painted artwork. Collage. Layered compositions that include photography and digital manipulation. Playful panel designs. Challenging and complex subject matter and storytelling. Psychological exploration of character. Evocative use of symbolism. In this two hour workshop, you will learn exciting artistic and literary possibilities in comic book creation from two experts: Former Vertigo/DC Comics editor and writer Alisa Kwitney and DC/Marvel/Dark Horse artist Bill Koeb. In the first hour, Bill will take you through some examples of visually and conceptually brilliant comics and explain the techniques employed.
