Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Poiesis Quartet has had to cancel their HVCMC appearance on May 31st.
The Parker Quartet has graciously agreed to play in their place. Praised for their “exceptional virtuosity [and] imaginative interpretation” ("The Washington Post"), and firmly established as one of the preeminent ensembles of its generation since its founding in 2002, their program will include works by Beethoven and Brahms, alongside a work by Paul Wiancko, composed for the ensemble and first performed by them in 2013.
