Portraits in Oil by Coulter Young - Art Exhibit and Reception

Tompkins Corners will present an artist’s reception for Portraits in Oil, an exhibit of larger-than-life portraits of musicians by Beacon-based artist Coulter Young. Meet the artist and enjoy live music and refreshments. Coulter’s love for music is the driving force behind these portraits. “This current exhibition explores a few different genres of music never before shown together as a body of work. I’ll be combining prominent musical figures from the Folk, Bluegrass, Jazz and Blues scene of the 20th century. My goal as a painter is to capture the spiritual essence of my subject using line and color,” says Coulter.
