In Portrait Sculpting class we will be exploring the anatomy of a human head and the art of portraiture. Through direct observation of a live model students will learn how to interpret what they see, while capturing the essence of the subject matter and expressing their unique creative perceptions through sculpting with clay. Students will be introduced to the tools and foundational techniques to sculpt a portrait via direct observation. This beginner friendly workshop which helps students to explore clay as a playable material and its possibilities in sculpting.
