Join Ulster County Poet Laureate Mike Jurkovic for Poetry as Protest and Political Action, an evening exploring the power of poetry in political and social movements. Through music, conversation, and an open mic, local poets and community members will reflect on how verse can challenge injustice, preserve memory, and give voice to resistance. Presented in the historic Reher Center gallery, this gathering invites participants to listen, share, and engage in dialogue about the enduring role of art and language in times of social change. All are welcome to attend or participate in the open mic.
