Poetry as Memoir, Memoir as Poetry led by Linda McCauley Freeman

As writer's we've been told to write what we know, and the memoir has become a very popular literary form. This workshop will explore using poetry as memoir. Part craft discussion, part generative, this workshop will delve deeply into what moves a poem from sentimental to sizzling, and from individual to universal. In this roll-up-our-sleeves writing workshop, we will unleash your stories and memories and explore poetic devices that can make them sing.
