Poet Brenda Shaughnessy Presents the Elizabeth Bishop Reading at Vassar College

Brenda Shaughnessy is the author of seven poetry collections, including The Octopus Museum, the forthcoming Tanya, (Knopf, 2023) and Liquid Flesh: New and Selected Poems (Bloodaxe, 2022.) Recipient of a 2018 Literature Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters and a 2013 Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship, she is Professor of English at Rutgers University–Newark. The Elizabeth Bishop reading is made possible through the gift of Priscilla H. Rockwell and H.P. Davis Rockwell, and sponsored by the Vassar College English Department.
