The first of the series, led by Urban Bush Women founder Jawole Willa Jo Zollar and dancers, is a fun, participatory journey through African American social dances from 1955 through the present, titled How We Got To The Funk. The party will feature live music by Brooklyn-based Craig Harris & Tailgaters Tales. Individuals of all dance abilities and ages are invited to participate and then dance the night away in a stunning space described by Architectural Digest as a “study in cutting-edge design.”
