Pauline Decarmo: ins and outs and ups and downs

Hudson NY artist Pauline Decarmo returns to LABspace with her second solo exhibition of paintings. Ongoing illness caused by cancer in 2017 has prevented Pauline from using her dominant hand. So, to make work for this exhibition, she has taught herself to paint with her left hand. Pauline writes, "These paintings are self portraits. But they can also be a portrait of anyone. Perhaps the viewer." On view Saturdays and Sundays 1-5pm, July 13-August 11, 2024. Opening Reception with Pauline Decarmo: Saturday July 13th, 1-5pm.
