From Homer to Harpo and beyond, this event explores 62,000 year world history of the harp in a unique power-point interspersed with live music by The Gravikord Duo: Bob Grawi inventor of the Gravikord and his wife Pip Klein on flute/percussion. The Gravikord, a double electric harp based on the West African kora is one of the world's newest harps and in 2018 was added to the permanent musical instrument collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This project is made possible with funds from the New York State Legislature and administered by Arts Mid-Hudson.
