Discussion with Rama Subramanian Former Director and co-founder of Sustainable Livelihood Institute, Ram is an active advocate for safe food and a sustainable society and world. He has been inspiring, shaping & supporting grassroots organizations and institutions, especially with a view towards building strong rural economies utilizing the concept of self-reliance. He founded and heads the Chennai, India based social consulting organization Samanvaya. He is a Gandhian with a deep interest in Thich Nhat Hanh and Sri Aurobindo.
