Opening Reception 'If and When Creatures Appear' - Alex Cohen and Claudia Renfro

Headstone is delighted to announce the much-anticipated two-person exhibition, If and When Creatures Appear, with Alex Cohen and Claudia Renfro. Cohen presents twenty small oil-on-panel paintings featuring a menagerie of invented scenes and landscapes, many finished with unique artist-made wooden frames. Renfro, known for her embroidered paintings, showcases her intimate bronze sculptures that resemble fossilized beings- previously furry and some winged. Together, their works sprout a curious tonality where an imagined world almost completes itself.
