Nocturne & Catawampus October 7-November 1, 2026 Arbor Gallery presents Nocturne & Catawampus, a group exhibition featuring 37 artists interpreting themes of night, mystery, altered perspective, folklore, nature, and the beautifully off-kilter. A nocturne is a work inspired by night, while catawampus means crooked, askew, or out of the usual order. The resulting exhibition moves between atmospheric, surreal, whimsical, and mysterious interpretations of the theme. The gallery will also present free screenings of classic public-domain films and shorts throughout the exhibition. Opening Reception: Saturday, October 17, 5-8 PM Arbor Gallery, 1875 Route 6, Unit 111, Carmel, NY.
