Inspired by true events, this film is the understated story of John (James Norton), a window cleaner and dying single father in Northern Ireland forced to make future family plans for his toddler son (newcomer Daniel Lamont). When John is given only a few months to live, he is determined to shield the boy from the terrible reality to come. The naturalistic performances by Norton and his young co-star give this thoughtful tear-jerker, directed by Uberto Pasolini (THE FULL MONTY), a powerful emotional punch in the final act. You just want to reach out and hug them both.
