Learn about Québécois music’s unique répertoire and style with Babineau and Chartrand, two virtuosic musicians from Québec. In this 75-minute workshop for fiddle and guitar, Alexis will teach a wide range of Québécois tunes, including reels, quadrilles, jigs and cotillons, while focusing on style, ornamentation and technique for fiddle. Nicolas’ acoustic guitar class shares his personal approach to fiddle music accompaniment, breaking down the harmonic progressions, rhythms and voicings that are the best companions to Québec’s dance music. Workshop tickets are $25. Ticket purchase allows you to attend either workshop or to move between them.
