Native American Stone Structures of the Catskill Mountains

Sunday, May 5th at 2pm In person and virtual Members: Free, Non-Members: $5 Scattered throughout the wooded uplands of the Catskill Mountains are a large number of standing lithic structures that are often dismissed as colonial era stone walls and field clearing piles. These formations are increasingly emerging as part of a Native American tradition of ritual building practices. Join Glenn Kreisberg as he presents data of potential Native American sacred sites in the Catskills to discern patterns in their construction, positioning and alignments to sky observation.
