An open-mike storytelling event hosted by Gregor Wynnyczuk and centered on the theme of finding one’s place– whether it be geographically, or in relation to others. Potential storytellers will be asked to consider the following prompt: Places can resonate with us. We may feel we belong in some places, and don’t in others. But ‘our place’ is also a societal construct. We often serve a role or function that is determined by others. We may have something we want to contribute, but may feel it is not our place to do so.
