Charles interweaves personal anecdotes of a childhood and adolescence spent coming of age under the guidance of his indomitable Aunt Lillian with songs from the decade by such artists as Burt Bacharach, Jimmy Webb, The Beatles, Henry Mancini, Bob Dylan, and Stephen Sondheim.
