Kate Douglas’s “My Dog is Dead” is a folk musical told by three musicians about a woman who gains psychic abilities after her family dog dies. Those abilities allow her to see the fates of others in her small town, leading to a whirlwind of conflicting emotions from herself and those around her. Her husband celebrates her powers, but her brother is hellbent on proving her to be a liar. "My Dog is Dead" is part of Ancram Center's outdoor Plein Air Plays, a triptych of short performances.
