He has been a part of the 16-time World Pipe Band champion Grade 1 Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia Pipe Band. He co-founded the internationally touring Celtic fusion band MacTalla Mor and headlined at renowned venues such as Caesar's Palace Las Vegas, Pete Seeger's Clearwater festival, ESPN Studios, and many other prestigious music halls.
