Participants will build on basic itajime shibori techniques and explore additional surface design methods that utilize pole wrapping, stitching, pleating, and binding to create beautiful, intricate shibori patterns. The techniques learned in this class are more involved and intricate focusing more time on fabric manipulation rather than vat preparation. This class can be enjoyed by anyone regardless of prior experience, however basic hand stitching skills are helpful to get the most out of this class.
