Mid-Hudson Astronomy Star Party

Opportunities to see galaxies outside of the Milky Way are nearly impossible in suburban areas due to light pollution, but the Mid-Hudson Astronomy Association and Lake Taghkanic State Park are giving star-lovers the chance to view the end of "Galaxy Season" as brightly and clearly as possible away from the city lights on May 23. The famous Leo Triplet, as well as Gemini, Ursa Major, and Hercules, will be positioned perfectly for viewers in the Northern Hemisphere, which will be live-stacked on a red-light screen thanks to the Mid-Hudson Astronomy Association. Telescopes and binoculars will be provided.
