Untitled, Michael Linday-Hogg, oil on wood, 24 x 18
When: Sat., April 20, 5-7 p.m. 2024
Opening reception for an exhibition of paintings by artist, author, and director Michael Lindsay-Hogg. Lindsay-Hogg is best known for his collaborations with rock ’n roll luminaries the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who, and many others. As a painter, Lindsay-Hogg’s work has been shown in Los Angeles, New York, London, and Paris, and are held in many private collections. A self-taught artist, Michael Lindsay-Hogg’s work shows the eccentricity and peculiarity of outsider art and the sophistication of a dry gin martini. He only draws and paints people from his imagination, and in some of the paintings there is a sense of tension between the figures, something unresolved.
