Bridge Street Theatre presents an all-female cast in "Mary Jane," a new Obie and New York Drama Critics’ Circle Award-winning play from critically-acclaimed playwright Amy Herzog. "Mary Jane" tells the story of a single mother taking care of the daily needs of her chronically ill two-year-old armed with little more than grit, medicines, and feeding tubes. Abandoned by her husband and the healthcare system, Mary Jane must rely on the support of other women in the community who become her makeshift family and help her through one of the most difficult challenges in her life. With 4 female actors in 8 different roles, "Mary Jane" explores themes of chosen family, the power of female friendships, and silver linings.
