For 45 years, the Mark Morris Dance Group has paired inventive choreography with an unusually rich attention to music. The acclaimed company returns to Caramoor’s Venetian Theater with a four-work program showcasing the wit, grace, and emotional range that have made founder Mark Morris one of modern dance’s defining figures. “Three Preludes” is set to music by George Gershwin; “Northwest” draws on John Luther Adams; “Jenn and Spencer” features Henry Cowell; and “Dancing Honeymoon” is accompanied by music from Ethan Iverson. Since forming its own ensemble in 1996, the company has performed every show with live music onstage, making each evening a feast for the eyes and ears. The performance begins at 7:30pm on Thursday, July 30, at Caramoor in Katonah. Tickets start at $50.
