Film & Discussion with former Mayor West
Ulster County attracted global attention in 2004 when Mayor Jason West of New Paltz wedded 25 same-sex couples. The event not only made history, but it built a vibrant local LGBTQ community. Following a screening of the 2010 Stephanie Donnelly documentary “I Now Pronounce You Husband and Husband,” former Mayor West will be joined by participants in the New Paltz weddings – Mary Mendola, Joanne Still and Jay Blotcher — to recall that special day and its legacy in Ulster County. 🗓️ Sunday, June 29 🕑 2:00–3:30 PM 📍 Bevier House Museum – 2682 Route 209, Kingston, NY ✨ Free
