Stiriss revisits the Kingston of the 1970s and ’80s—its shifting streets, overlooked corners, and emotional landmarks—revealing a city both real and dreamlike. Her expressive color and gesture reflect a young person’s view of a place on the verge of change. Now a Kingston-based painter, Stiriss honors the longstanding character and stories of 12401, preserving the city’s past at a moment when Kingston continues to evolve, ensuring its earlier spirit remains visible and deeply felt.
