"Loyalists in the Hudson Valley during the Revolutionary War," a virtual presentation with Dr. Kieran J. O'Keefe

Kieran J. O'Keefe
Professor Kieran J. O'Keefe
This talk will explore the lives and experiences of Loyalists from the Hudson Valley during the Revolutionary War. Although many colonists supported American independence, a large minority favored remaining in the British Empire. Loyalists in the Hudson Valley faced an especially fraught situation, with much of the war raging in and around the region. We will learn who these Loyalists were, what their war experiences were like, and what happened to them after the Revolution. This presentation will be presented entirely online via a link sent after registration. Discounted for HHS members, seniors, students, active military personnel and their families.
