Local Research Astronomer to Present Talk on The James Webb Space Telescope and Planet Formation Study
On Tuesday, February 21, local researcher Phoebe Heretz will deliver a presentation about the role of the James Webb Space Telescope in understanding planet formation. Her talk, "How the James Webb Space Telescope will revolutionize our understanding of planet formation", will be delivered to 8 PM at SUNY New Paltz. The program is being sponsored by the Mid-Hudson Astronomical Association.
Sometimes called "Hubble's Successor", the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) launched on Christmas Day 2021 and finally began scientific operations in July 2022.
