It's Oscar nominee week at the Crandell! In 1950s London, a humorless civil servant decides to take time off work to experience life after receiving a grim diagnosis. This tender remake of Akira Kurosawa's classic Ikiru was adapted by Nobel Prize-winning novelist and screenwriter Kazuo Ishiguro (REMAINS OF THE DAY, NEVER LET ME GO). Bill Nighy, the only actor Ishiguro ever imagined in the role, stars. The film first screened at FilmColumbia 2022.
