Columbia County Soil and Water Conservation District and the Hudson River Estuary Program invite community members to celebrate one of our greatest assets: wetlands! This free program will explore our diverse wetlands, their economic and environmental values, and why to conserve them. The event will feature a presentation by Laura Heady of the Estuary Program, and a short documentary - Liquidity. To complete our night, we will take a walk along Mud Creek which provides the perfect setting for the interesting plants and animals that call our wetlands home and discuss the vital roles wetlands play as we explore!
