Koyoltzintli is a ceramicist and sound artist working with both ancient and contemporary forms, creating cavity instruments that can intone using water and air, engaging a full body performative, cathartic experience, embracing the rawness of sound and the amorphous structures of ritual.
Katie Porter is a bass clarinetist who works with purity in acoustic sound, stillness, expression in a context of freedom in time, and ear-eye-body communication.
This evening will present two artists working with the movement of focused air in an honest, cathartic, and liberating way.
