The Kingston Artists Soapbox Derby is a much-loved annual event that brings together artists, families, and community organizations in the most inventive, display of kinetic sculpture to be found anywhere in the Hudson Valley. Registration begins at 11 am and the “race” starts at 1 pm when gravity or human-powered creations begin rolling down the lower Broadway hill while spectators cheer them on. Music, entertainment and a lively Awards Ceremony complete the day.
