Kimono, Kabuto & More: A Hands-On Japanese Culture Program

Participants will be able to try on Kimonos and learn how to tie an Obi-belt. Instructors will show how to make an origami Kabuto hat big enough to wear. Attendees will also get a demonstration on how to use chopsticks and then participate in a chopstick competition by moving beans between two plates with chopsticks. The program will conclude with a Kamishibai (paper theater) presentation of a Japanese mythological story.
