Internationally renowned writer Joyce Carol Oates will give a reading at Bard College in the Chapel of the Holy Innocents. Oates is a recipient of the National Humanities Medal and the National Book Award, among many other honors. Her latest novel, The Butcher, follows the career of Dr. Silas Weir, “Father of Gyno-Psychiatry,” as he ascends from professional anonymity to national renown.
