In November 1874, the Hudson-Athens Lighthouse—then known as Hudson City Light—first illuminated its beacon, guiding ships along the Hudson River. 150 years later, we not only celebrate this historic milestone but also honor the dedicated lightkeepers who devoted their lives to preserving this maritime treasure. HALPS warmly invites you to join us for a special lighting ceremony to commemorate this milestone. As we reflect on when the Hudson-Athens Lighthouse Lighthouse first cast its light to guide people safely, we will gather with gratitude and prayers for peace and unity, with music from the Hudson Community Choir.
