Itır Saran : 'ada'

Itır Saran, a Turkish artist, designer, and professor based in Istanbul, presents works of adornment from her debut collection StellaTundra, alongside new works in video and sculpture. 'Ada' in Turkish means island, and is reflective of Itır's work which forms enduring yet delicate structures that explore oceanic architecture captured in time. As an architect and environmentalist, Itır interacts with the structure and beauty of natural forms. She collects samples in situ and uses them as a palate for her work, where she finds inner peace and calm, reflecting the harmony and balance of nature’s ecosystem.
