In many traditions, calligraphic forms are made up of a series of stokes. Much like a martial art, these rooted, physical gestures are practiced again and again. This workshop utilizes diverse styles of Arabic letterforms and tools as a jumping off point— visualization and repetition, focus and play—working small, working large—each are entry points into abstract ink work.
