Indian Slide Guitar: Rhitom Sarkar w Ehren Hanson, Tabla

Born in Kolkata, Rhitom Sarkar began his musical journey at the age of nine. Trained under sitar maestro Pt. Shyamal Chatterjee and guitar legend Pt. Debashish Bhattacharya, he later studied tabla, sarod, vocal, and meditation-based musical systems. His style is rooted in Indian classical ragas but expanded through years of research into the fusion of Spanish and Hindustani slide techniques, resulting in a signature sound that is meditative, expressive, and deeply spiritual. Ehren Hanson is a professional NYC based tabla player. He began learning tabla at age 15 and most recently performed with maestro Pandit Anindo Chatterjee.
