Ramanan is an established artist on this rare and unique instrument in the Indian classical arts. He trained under Pandit Barun Kumar Pal, who played on the Hansaveena at Matagiri a number of times. He will be accompanied by Aditya Phatak on tabla and Joseph Costello on ghatam (clay pot).
