Ice Age Origins of the Hudson River School of Art

In person and Virtual Members: Free, Non-Members: $5 Retired professor of geology, Robert Titus and his wife Johanna will speak on their latest book, Hudson River Schools of Art and their Ice Age Origins. During the 19th century there was something of a cultural Renaissance in the Hudson Valley region. This, we argue, would ever have happened if the Hudson Valley and Catskills had not been so heavily glaciated.
